The shop has been busy with some new and some old projects.
I was asked to be a prize contributing sponsor to Denver’s Next Improv Star at the Bovine Metropolis Theater in Denver (http://www.bovinemetropolis.com/). This improve theater is owned by some very good friends and I encourage you to check it out if you are in the Denver area. It is in downtown at 1527 Champa St, Denver, CO 80202. Denver’s Next Improv Star runs through May. I made 2 pieces to contribute to their winners. A wine gift box made of pine with pine shavings from the plane. I also made a keepsake box from curly maple and walnut. It has a fitted lid but he inside connection is with 45 degree angles – looks very cool.
I have also been continuing my military challenge coin boards. This time I am working more in cherry and walnut which really looks good together.
Next month, I plan on stepping things up nicely. I have invested in the Shapeoko 3 CNC machine by Carbide 3D. I cannot wait to get this machine in the shop and start experimenting with what a CNC router can do. Stand by for new designs and options!
